Pull one out, stack it on top

Same rule as the real game: the brick you pull has to go back on top, and only then does the move count. So the tower gets taller and more precarious the further you get — and when it comes down, the run is over. Every brick is a real rigid body: how they drop, what they catch on, whether they tip, none of it is choreographed. The vertical line is the centre of mass, and that line is the actual answer to "will it fall".

Whether a stack falls has little to do with how tall it is. It has to do with where the centre of mass lands: multiply each brick's mass by its position, add them up, divide by the total, and drop that point straight down. Inside the base, it stands. Outside, it is going over — even if it still looks upright this second.
The friction slider is worth a go on its own: it does not decide whether the tower stands, it decides whether it can recover once you disturb it. A stack this square has no sideways force, so at 0.03 it sits there untouched — but pull the same bottom brick and friction 0.03 slides the whole thing into a heap, while 0.95 just lets it settle one notch and stay up.
